Pours a deep black color, topped with a small tan colored head. Almost nothing is left of it. There is a very mild aroma, slightly roasty some chocolate. The taste is creamy, sweet and malty, some little coffee and roasty feel in the finish. Afterfinish is bittery for a very short time. A nice one.

Bottle. Aroma caramelly, overally mild and empty. Clear dark colour. Taste is plain, caramel. Light roasted. Thrash.

Bottled 250ml. -Courtesy of Marko (Doggythedog), thanks! Dark brown coloured with red glare, medium sized pale brown head, mild coffee nose. Roasted malt, coffee and milk chocolate with notes of rye bread and raisins. Bit watery but surprisingly good and pleasant Bosnian dunkel.

I would have bet that I’ve rated this before, but obviously I forgot it in all the recent mess. Anyway, got a 0.25 l bottle that Doggythedog generously brought from Neum. It poured dark brown body with medium sized head. Coffee and caramel aroma, slightly rough but fine. Flavor was really fine, sweetish and only very slightly sour dark roasted malty. Coffee, chocolate and raisins would be the equivalent flavors. Medium in body with pleasant, long coffee finish, slightly spiced with dark chocolate. Nice schwarzbier, pleasant surprise from BiH!

0.25l bottle found to my huge delight and surprise at the Jadranpromet store in Neum (the only town in BiH on the sea) while traveling to Dubrovnik. Poured a nice deep red body with lively carbonation and a brownish thick head that went away pretty fast. The nose is soft, malty and almost pungent, coffee and caramel, maybe just a hint of raisins. Remarkably good! The taste shows a similar, supple maltiness carrying hints of coffee and caramel, maybe tobacco, akin to a good Czech dunkel, but battered a bit by a crude, slightly metallic hopiness, not too assertive but way too strong for what it is, offsetting the mouthfeel that would’ve been sublime if softer. The bitterness obviously sticks in the aftertaste. Quite similar to Tomislav in some ways and an immense surprise. The best Bosnian (and Herzegovinian) beer comes from the brewery whose other beer is probably the worst in that country. I might be underrating this but by little.
