Kellari Ipa (66 IBU) on reippaasti humaloitu, suodattamaton pintahiivaolut, jossa hedelmäinen alkumaku kohtaa rapean humalanpuraisun. Humalan makua tasapainottaa sopiva maltaisuus. IPA-oluet kehitettiin alun perin Englannissa kestämään pitkiä merimatkoja, runsas humalointihan tunnetusti parantaa oluen säilyvyyttä, samaa tarkoitusta varten IPA:ssa on myös tuhdimmin alkoholia.

Sample @ HBF 2010. Originally rated on 9.4.2010. Okay, slightly bitter and hoppy IPA. A bit unbalanced.

Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 6 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 6.5

Draught@Olutkellari Helsinki. Slightly hazy amber colour with a small off-white head. Aroma is citrusfruits, some wood and rather sweet malts. Flavour is quite similar with some mild toffee, cream and some grassy and floral notes. Wellbalanced and not overly hopped.

Draught (Helsinki Beer Festival 2010) - Shared with Doggythedog. Amber in colour. Peach and fruit in the aroma. Hoppy taste with peach, pine, spicy malt and pineapple. Enjoyable and refreshing.

Draught? at HBF. Poured a golden-amber body with a small white head. Dusty nose, some socks, some berry jam, some apples. Light strawberry jam in the taste, sweet and light, very light bitterness. Not a proper IPA I guess but ok enough as a beer.

Draught@HBF
Clear amber color, small steady off-white head. Fruity, pearish, a bit glueish aroma, some alcohol. Medium-bodied. Lots of berries, some hops, glue and lingering alcohol. Not my kind of strong IPA. Too homebrewy.

(Cask at Olutkellari Helsinki) Poured amber and lightly hazy with medium sized, long lasting and white head. Aroma contained hops, fruitiness and strawberry. Palate was medium bodied with low carbonation. Flavours were malts, hops, fruitiness, hint of toffee, sweetness and bitterness. Aftertaste was strongly bitter.
