On tap at the source. Pours dark with a creamy head. Taste is strongly of roasted caramel malt, and a little nutty. Finish is short and lightly bitter. Trends watery. Smooth, pleasant drinking.

Keg at Brewpub in Prague Day 6 of Fergus and Sarah’s Czech jaunt. 4/10/14. Really dark ruby red / mahogany brown coloured pour with a lasting light tan head. Aroma is earthy caramel, twigs and berry, some dusty. Flavour is composed of caramel, twiggy, jam on toast. Hint of choc in the finish. Palate is medium bodied, semi-sweet, bit flabby with lowish carbonation. Dull dark beer.

Fra fat på bryggeripuben 23 Okt 12 - på tur med jobben til Praha. Ultimat brunsort. Lavt, litt farget skum. Lite aroma. Søt smak. Veldig søt. Bare søt. Ikke bra.

On tap at the brewpub. Dark brown with a small off-white head. Aroma of caramel and brown sugar. Sweet dark caramel, brown sugar and molasses flavour with a touch of herbal hops and a slightly bitter finish. Like a stronger and hoppier Kozel...

On tap at the brewpub. Dark ruby-brown colour, medium light brown head. Aroma medium coffee, medium caramel, light roasted. Taste is watery, yet the beer drinakble. Medium caramel sweetness, light roast bitterness. The sweetness seems too artificial though, sugary, not too good. 6 4 4 3 9 rerate, tap at RJ. Aroma roasted, coffee, light caramel. Dark colour. Taste is nice, harmonic, dark roasted coffee notes, light caramel. Nice, easy drinking example of Czech dark lager. I like it.

Draught @ the brewpub. Pours red-brown with a large white head. Lots of coffee and other roasted things going on in the aroma. Syrup bread and coffee notes in taste. Sweet - but with a dry finish.
