150ml glass from the tap at O’Neil’s pub in Paris, touted as France’s first (and perhaps still only) brewpub. I was given specific instructions to try them in the order of Blanche, Blonde, Amber, Black. Aroma has plenty of wheat on the nose as well as hops. Appearance has little head and a white-yellow body, though the head could be due to the on-tap drill and their marketing need to fill up the little glasses with actual beer instead of head. Flavour is good, taste of corn and hops, some grain. Nice dry finish. It’s a good reliable blanche, and would turn out to be my favourite of the four - sadly.

Draft at the brewpub. Hazy gold color with a white head. Lightly spicey aroma. Medium body with fizzy carbonation. Decent amount of clove. Dry, slightly bitter, finish.

Draught at the brewpub. Cloudy yellow colour. Small white head. The flavour starts off with a little spice, clove, which tastes OK, but there seems to be a faint hint of plastic and a little mold as well. Still, it is drinkable, no serious flaws.

From tap at the brewpub. Pours hazy yellow with a small and lacing white head. Wheat and light coriander spiced aroma, holds a phenolic yeasty note. Wheaty and spiced flavour with a bit raw estery note on the back of the nose. Light herbal into the finish.

Draught at the brewpub
Cloudy light blond color; creamy head. The aroma is spicy and citrusy, delicate. The mouthfeel is dry, with a light crispy malt flavor, and a delicate spicy and citrusy touch; it ends with an average bitterness, or maybe a bit too much for a Witbier. Because of the light crispy malt, I consider it above the average.
