Shared with Igor. Hazy amber, small off-white head. Fell quickly but some of it is left throughout. Smoky at first, malty later, fruity background. Kick of smoke after the sip, vegetable flavors, beans with bacon - fantastic! Abrupt finish, soft carbonation, some vegetable-like bitterness. I’ll give it a plus for being original.

Amberish red colored, bit cloudy, small offwhite head. Aroma is of vegetables, strong sour bean salad. Taste is smoked beans, again with the heavy sourness, some potatoes, some veggies. Low to medium bodied, low to medium carbonation. It’s just... why? Obviously infected.

At a tasting, thanks MarkoNM, small bubbly head, hazy gold color, light smokey aroma lots of fruit, some olives, strong vinegary sourness, some fruit and smoke, not a nice combination, coarse bitterness. interesting but bizarre.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Dancing Camel Florentin. Thanks tomer. Cloudy amber with a big white head. Aroma of hospital, medicinal smokiness, sanitizers, olives, sour fruits and yeast. Sourish flavor with fruitiness and medicinal smokiness. Medium-bodied, over-carbonated. Infected.

Bottle, 0.33l. Hazy amber brown color with medium creamy off-white head, many floating particles and sparkling appearance. Aroma of smoke, leather, beans and yeast. Taste starts sour grainy and yeasty, which overpowers smokey and mild spicy notes, while finish is mild bitter. Medium body, slick texture and lively carbonation in palate. Another infected beer from Vizir. I’m totally pissed off because of it. C’mon guys and girls, be critical and do not put into sales every batch you brew. If it’s infected, let it go down the drain, not down our throats. If it happens once, I can accept it, if it happens 5 or more times a year, something’s wrong in the brewery...

Bottled 330ml. -from Brežice Beer Fest. Gift by the owner himself, thanks Denis! Pale amber coloured, minimal off-white head, interesting nose; smoke, beans and hops. Again smoke, beans and hops (no potatoes presence) with mild grassy spicy notes. Light spicy prickling in the finish. Not the best smoked I’ve tried but so far the most interesting one. Thumbs up.

Brežice Beer Fest, on tap. I LOVE it when brewers experiment randomly like this. I must admit I was initially a bit wary, because of the previous beers from this brewery, and some issues they’ve had, but right now everyone agrees that they are the most improved brewery (quality control-wise) in Slovenia nowadays, so I shouldn’t have. Its body is dark amber I guess with a white head. Creamy, full aroma, yeasty initially, vaguely smoky, a touch of plastic... as it warmed it gained in complexity and appeal, gaining fruity notes, strange but actually pleasant! The taste is, well... yeah, more bean-like than expected, though mostly smokey, slightly plastic-like, but not in that bad a way. Slightly lighter/more watery than expected too, vague vegetable notes. Strange, unique, not a bad beer. Thumbs up!

Matevž is a typical Slovenian dish, made from potatoes and beans, which are also the ingredients of this beer. Pours a slightly hazy amber color, topped with a decent just off-white head. A fairly strong aroma, smoked with some nice hops. The taste is pleasantly bitter, smoked with some spicy notes. Maybe I expected too much of potatoe and beans, but in the end a very enjoyable and extra drinkable beer.
