XXX-Bitter is a variation on the existing XX-bitter, where we add an additional 50% more hops.
Taste: Full-bodied bitter beer. Despite its higher IBU-value, the large amount of aroma-hops makes this beer taste smoother than XX.

75 cl. bottle @ Rick and shared with him. Dark golden with a big white head. Fruity hoppy aroma. Bitter taste with an underlying sweet malts backbone. Prickly carbo and a good thick body. Very layered and complex beer despite it's initial apparent simpleness. That's one of the aspects of a truly great beer in my opinion.

750 ml capped bottle bought at Liquor Shed.
Excellent head of foam sitting on a orange gold liquid, lacing and head retention..excellent.
Nose is of spicy and fruity hop bitterness. Flowery and I have to say, the spice is very mild. Citrus is not ignored.
Light citrus, spice, biscuit malt, smoother than a baby's butt..the tastes put you in a sit back and enjoy mode. Probably the greatest asset this hoppy Golden Ale gives me.
Smooth bodied, due partly to the low level of carbonation. I don't expect to encounter many burps drinking this beauty.
I think that this was around the $14 mark. No regrets.

Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy amber colour with a creamy off-white head. Aroma of hay, grass, light bread, pepper and lime. The flavour is similar, but with more phenols, pepper and grass in the ending. Has a slick mouth feel, medium body and a medium bitterness. A hoppy and fresh Belgian ale. Well balanced.

750 ml green bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 6%. Golden colour, slightly hazy. Large white head. Pleasant aroma of spicy Belgian ale yeast and herbal hops. Fizzy mouthfeel. Distinctly bitter flavour with plenty of herbal hops, slightly dry, also notes of spicy yeast. Very sharp bitterness in the aftertaste.

Bottle (backlog 2014). Clear golden body with a big, stable, lacing, creamy white head. Pleasant aroma of Belgium yeast, spices, some fruit in general and pale malt. Flavor is pleasant and balanced with sweet malt, mild spices, fruity, white sugar and mild but distinct bitterness. Fine body and pleasant aftertaste. Nice, tasty and easy drinkable.

Lifted one side of the cork slightly, which was enough to set off a gusher that kept up a continuous flow of foam for about 15 minutes while I finished cleaning up. Big white head. Hazy opaque orange body. Corky herbal peppery aroma with metallic notes. Dryish mealy metallic taste with grassy herbal notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Bittersweet herbal grassy aftertaste with grainy peppery metallic notes. Lingering grassy herbal finish. Very nice. Totally dominated by the hops, but in a nice way, and not too bitter. (0.75l bottle, from wine monopoly, Strømmen.)

(bottle, 75cl) Hazy, golden colour with a blond medium-sized frothy head. Grassy and herbal “old world” hoppy aroma with Belgian yeasty spice and doughy malt in the background. Bitter flavour, medium to light bodied with a moderate carbonation. Dry, slightly doughy pale malt character with notes of white bread, drying grassy and herbal hops and peppery yeasty spice; dry and quite hop bitter finish, accompanied by subtle fruity spots. Very hoppy by Belgian standards of course, but lacks a malty backbone a bit. 12.XI.17
