Deep dark and subtle red color with a fine tan head. Toffee, raisins, plums, dried fruits and some vanilla. Full body and a soft carbonation. Nice balanced sweetness. Powerful and complex flavor. Toffee, dried fruits, raisins, plums, vanilla some oak and hell yeah lovely ale!

On tap at Taps Trondheim, pours black with a small tan head. Nose brings out toasted malt, light cocoa, and bready malt. Flavour is robust, with notes of cocoa, alcohol, roasted malt and toasted nuts. Pretty hot and lightly sweet, but robust and still balanced well. Very good stuff.

Draft @ Taphouse, Copenhagen. Pours a dark brown color with a small off-white head. Has a slightly roasted malty caramel aroma with hints of licorice. Slightly roasted malty caramel bitter flavor with weak hoppy hints. Has a slightly roasted malty caramel finish.

Sample @ Kristiansand ølfestival. Dark amber, almost black with a dense beige head. Aroma of dark malt, light roast, dark chocolate and coffee. Flavor has nice roasted, dark malt, coffee, dry fruit, caramel, chocolate and moderate bitterness. Balanced in flavor and body, decent aftertaste. A nice and pleasant brown ale.

From tap at Mi2 15.09.14. Nearly black. Tiny pale brown head. Aroma of coffee, dark chocolate, liquorice and bitterness. No carbonation. Lots of liquorice in taste. Some coffee and dark chocolate in aftertaste.
