33cl bottle (bottled 15/09/2016) from Struise Bruges Beershop in Brugge. F: thin, pale tanned, not long lasting. C: black, totally opaque. A: a lot of chocolate, cocoa, vinous, woody, dark dried fruits, dark caramel. T: chocolate, cocoa, red wine, woody, dark cherries, bourbon, vanilla, warming alcohol, earthy, full complex body, lower carbonation, great one, fully enjoyed.

Flesje gedeeld door Tomhendriksen en gedronken met familie. Diep donkerbruin tot zwart bier met matig schuim dat snel weg trekt. Aroma Bourbon en donker fruit. Smaak van mout, donker fruit, Bourbon en kruiden. Nasmaak is pittig en blijft best even hangen.

Fles gedeelt met Inoven. Het is een donkerbruin bier met een diep rode gloed. Het heeft geen schuim. De geur is kenmerkend bourbon. De smaak is zacht zoetig met bourbon in de nasmaak.

Bottle from Drinks&Gifts. Dark brown/black colour, brown foam. Roasty with lots of caramel, dark fruit, bourbon, light vanilla. Little bit earthy. Nice stout.

33 cl bottle @ home, almost 2 years after bottling (sept. 2016). Pitch black color. Frothy beige head with little retention. Aroma's: sweetish, chocolate, some red fruit, mild bourbon and vanilla. Retronasal the bourbon comes out much more, with wood, sweetness, chocolate. Flavor is above moderate sweet, chocolatey, woody, roasty. Fairly strong alcohol feel. Almost full bodied. Finishes roasty, ashy, moderate bitter. Classic De Molen.

Black color, light tan head with short retention. Aroma is roasty, toasty, peat and earthy notes. Flavor with notes of roasted malts, black ripe fruit and Bourbon notes. Alcoholic presence in the final, slightly sweet mouthfeel. Dense and creamy on palate.
