This NW style sour ale is a strong blond ale aged in chardonnay barrels for up to 12 months, then aged with dried white figs and lemon peel or up to 12 more months. Aromas of sweet figs, golden raisins, and citrus zest are the first to be noticed. Hints of white wine grapes, lemon peel, and sweet figs roll across the palate, leading to a crisp lemon tartness in the finish that leaves a lingering sweetness on the tongue.

Bottle courtesy of tkrjukoff. Pours hazy orange with a rather small frothy offwhite head that quickly dissipates without leaving much trace on the glass while dissipating. Smell is sour and fruity with crackers, lemon juice, yuzu juice, hay, dry soil, lemon zest, leather, minerals and hints of barnyard. Taste is sour and fruity with crackers. Yuzu juice, lemon juice, figs, lemon zest, dry soil, hay, leather and hints of barnyard. Mouthfeel is dry, tart, mouth-puckering and medium bodied, finish is sour and fruity with crackers. Yuzu juice lemon juice, lemon zest, hay and dry soil. Simple, very sour and tasty.

Big thanks to Douglass88 for this one. Had this at the RB Pgh Halloween Spook-tacular Tasting/Drunkfest fall 2013, nice time at Hornydevilβs place, thanks James & Michelle! Big tart aroam. Makes the mouth water. Cloudy pale ale color with a tint of brown in there. Farmy all over flavors, yum. Yes farmy and slightly with a tad of acid burn. Never over the top, just like I like em. Not lots of co2 but yet there is this tart sizzle on the palate. Interesting yet unique. I liked this one, never over the top, just a big fun experience. Very like able.

Bottle - White grape and sour lemon. Orange gold with a thin head. Tart and a bit of funk. Grapefruit, lemon, oak and very dry. Some nice but weird flavours but still nice. Draft - Vintage 2012 - White grape and citrus acidity. Clear gold with a decent white head. Same profile as bottle, about the same overall.

RBSG 2013. Sour aroma and flavor. Lots of yeast. some sugar with sweet and sour flavors. Like a Flanders brown, but not quite that sweet.

Bottle at RBSG. From notes. Sour and tart with a good deal of citrus fruit. Definite wine barrel notes also. Very good.
