This NW style sour ale is a strong blond ale aged in chardonnay barrels for up to 12 months, then aged with dried white figs and lemon peel or up to 12 more months. Aromas of sweet figs, golden raisins, and citrus zest are the first to be noticed. Hints of white wine grapes, lemon peel, and sweet figs roll across the palate, leading to a crisp lemon tartness in the finish that leaves a lingering sweetness on the tongue.

Lots of figs, lots of acidity, light bitter finish. Not my favorite from them.

750ml shared by Nick. Juicy super sour fig, lemon tones. Unfiltered orange-tan body. Oily thin head. Deep vinegar tones. A nice tasty treat, but too much vinegar and overboard sour tones for me. Some mild oak undertones. Not much subtlety or depth.

750 mL bottle shared at a tasting. Hazy orange, thin fizzy head, poor retention. Aroma of bright apricot, white wine, pepper, funk. The taste is tart lemon and apricot, funk. Medium bodied, lingering funk. Nice.

Bottle. Pours cyrstal clear orange, small fizzy off-white head, dissipates quickly, some lacing. Aroma is oak, lemon, light funk, fruity. Flavor is medium tart, very light funk, oak tannins, lemon, and an interesting fruity note that I guess is figs. Medium body, high carbonation.

Sample at the Sour Sunday 2015. Hazy golden with a small white head. Nicely sour with oak, apple, grape and something that reminded of white wine. The body was failry light and the finish sour. A nice one.
