On tap at the release event at History in Zagreb. Poured a dark, almost black brown body with a good slightly off white head. Soft, full malty aroma carrying sweetish notes of raisins and some cinnamon and caramel, quite pleasant. The taste itself thankfully doesn’t stray too far from there. The full maltiness is soft and the beer is anything but excessively sweet, giving it a solid drinkability, while you’re drinking what’s basically plums, raisins and cinnamon cake. The fruits and the spices are evident, but the beer is never cloying, and they work well together. The alcohol does show up a little here and there, but the whole thing is so creamy and nice that you just don’t care. Pulling of a beer this big and spiced to boot with this fine a balance is definitely a great feat. Hats off! Also, love how they made rakija and jam with the fruit used here - while their previous beers weren’t always en par with some breweries on the market, this one definitely is and the brewery has the potential to go in some really interesting directions once they settle down properly, and I hope they do!
