Outmeal Stout. When creating the recipe for this beer, we bore in mind what one associates with oatmeal. Hence the base was laden with a bunch of oat flakes, roasted malts and roasted barley. The end result reflects this - intensive flavours, a coffee and dark chocolate aroma and a creamy texture. So we would not smother this, we added only as much hops as was needed to delicately balance the flavour.

Bottle from Archer Road Beer Stop, Sheffield. Clear, very dark red. Pale brown, lasting, slightly bubbly, head. Dark, high cocoa content, chocolate. A hint of coffee. A hint of vanilla. Taste is unripe, dark fruit dry. Some burnt wood bitterness. Not much in the way of balancing sweetness. Expected some oaty creaminess, too. Quality beer, just not in the, "last beer of the night, thick, graviness", you sometimes want. *Graviness being a real word, of course*.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein schwarzes Bier mit schöner bräunlichen Schaumkrone. Geruch röstmalzig, Schokolade. Geschmack sehr röstmalzig, angenehm cremig, schokoladig, eridig.

Bottle from the brewery. Black body, with medium, creamy, tan head, that leaves a good lacing. Aroma of roast, wood, coffee, dark chocolate, licorice, smoke, slightly fruity. Taste is roasty coffee, wood, smoke, dark berries, some nut. Mouthfeel is medium, creamy, with a lively carbonation and it finishes bitter, dry, roasty and smoky. Surprisingly easy to drink, yet fully aromatic, complex and greatly balanced. A tasty Stout!

330ml bottle. Pitch black colour with average, thick, creamy, fairly lasting, moderately lacing, beige head. Roasty dark malty aroma, a touch of smoke, dark chocolate. Taste is dry, roasty dark malty, notes of dark chocolate, espresso, a cautious touch of smoke; in the finish with a minimally salty liquorice touch. Another good one from Bevog.

I always love to taste beer that comes with an interesting label. Pours with a deep black color and a medium cream colored head that quickly settles to only a lacing around the brim. There is a slight alcohol smell which is followed by roasted malts, although very gentle. The taste is bitter, but not too much, along with a nice roasty taste, although the whole combo is quite mild. It’s very creamy and filling. A very nice try from Bevog.

Sehr empfehlenswert.
