Bottled 355ml. -from Pivoteka Zagreb, shared with Marko. Darker golden coloured, small to medium sized off-white head, dust and fruits in the nose. Sweetish malty, some herbs, light fruity hoppy and again notes of dust and spices in the finish. Nothing special here, stays just on paper and not in my memory.

Bottle from Pivoteka, shared with ogivlado. Full golden body, medium white head, lasting. Aroma... fruit compote but in a good way, apples and peaches. slightly dusty, light fruity tartness that’s completely integrated with other flavors. Likable aroma all in all - not cloying, most importantly. Bit malty, spicy and dusty. Light fruity taste, peach again, a bit on the dry side, light dust, lighter still herbal bitterness, just trace sweetness. Tasty, but not impressively so, trace beets too. Eh, just OK. The American craft beers we get here are pretty much, unfortunately, consistently underwhelming, bar some notable exceptions.

Clear amber to copper colored, moderate to strong offwhite creamy lasting head. Aroma of caramel, rye and honey, bit belgian yeast and bit spice. Taste is moderate+ sweet caramel, honey, some rye, some spice and orange, bits of yeast. Light to medium bodied, moderate carbonation. Maybe not as Belgian as it should be but very drinkable and enjoyable. (0,33 from Pivoteka Zagreb)

Bottle @ home. Hazy orange color, medium sized white head. Smell and taste malts, lightly herbal, a light hint of plants somehow, lightly yeasty, quite bitter. Decent body and average carbonation.

12oz bottle - La Trappe mini goblet - Total Wine in Bellevue - ~$1.79

Pop the cap and beer slowly foams up the neck. As expected an overly carbonated head forms in the beer. A clear golden body otherwise. Aroma is poor ester management with very slick yet astringent bubblegum. Some thin banana as well. Flavor is similar as well. Lots of astringent esters. Really a sad attempt at the style.

12oz bottle pours with a clear copper body and gold hues while supporting a thin light tan head. The modest aroma has some apricot and apple yeasty esters to start and then slides into mellow and mild citrus hop notes. The taste delivers fruity esters o-plenty with apple and pear and apricot. To midway mild malt sweetened citrus hops comes to the surface as well as a bit of a malty graininess. Interesting brew with just enough hops going on to keep it from being too sweet.

Nearly clear pale lager lookin thing with a thin creamu head. Smell is a little sweet. Goodly amount of carbonation righ toff the bat. Taste is a little strong for a 5% but it starts to grow on yah. Not bad, still has a little of that processed thing you’d never find in a orval. Yes, becomes more agreeable as session continues. CO2 never lets up, continues to provide flavor evolution.

Location: 12 oz bottle from State Line, 5/15/12, Rating #2200

Aroma: It has a rather weak aroma of grains/bread, malts, and spice
Appearance: Pours a slightly hazy golden-orange color with a thin white head and light lace
Flavor: Very similar, but more pronounced then the nose, malty, light-medium sweet, minimal bitterness
Palate: The body is light-medium and it feels decent, though a touch watery, with avg-to-lively carbonation
Overall Impression: This one wasn't my favorite. The nose is a little dull, and the flavor, though better, isn't anything to write home about either. The pour is pretty nice and this beer is drinkable enough, but I didn't find anything standout about it.
