Our first local collaboration with the team who started it all here - Medvedgrad. A robust, biscuty, floral Double IPA with the addition of 100% local honey. Pouring a dark honey gold with a creamy thick head, this easy drinking DIPA welcomes you with strong notes of honey, pineapple, and floral bouquet on the nose. The big sticky mouth filling sweetness is cut through by the 75 IBUs given by american Denali and Lemondrop hops. This balanced marriage lends strong notes of biscuit, honey, pineapple, and citrus that will leave you full on a cold winters night.

Malts: Maris Otter, Pilsner Malt, Torrefied Wheat, Caramalt, Carapils
Hops: US Denali, Lemondrop
Yeast: Fermoale AY4

Canned. Golden colour, mediumsized white head. Aroma is floral, some honey, mild spruce, some toffee and mild alcohol to it. Flavour is alcohol, some fruity, honeyish and mild sweet toffee notes. Quite strong herbal and grassy bitterness in finish with a strong earthy edge to it.

12 oz can poured, picked up at Gastro Shop Pomalo, Dubrovnik. Soft glow, slight haze, golden orange pour. Thin oily head. Honey has a huge impact to this brew, though it creates a bit of a leathery feature for me. Dry malty constant. I enjoy this, bit the leather character pulls away a touch for me. Pretty good.

330mL can, sent from Marko (thanks man!), pours a cloudy bright semi-dark orange with a large white head. Aroma brings out lots of wildflower honey melding well with resinous hops and soft biscuity malt. Flavour is along the same lines, with the honey surprisingly mixing well with the hops. The hops are subdued by the honey but vibrant enough to hold their own. Really nice marriage of flavours here. Excellent.

On tap at the brewery. Grassy, hoppy nose. Clear golden, medium white head. Some sweetness in the middle, honey, some fruit, strong lasting even harsh bitter finish. Medium carbonation and body. Interesting.

Can, 0.33l. Clear copper pour, little to no head. Nice nose - pine, hops and honey. Interesting combo. Medium body, medium carbonation. Mostly bitter taste with subtle honey sweetness in the background. Nicely balanced, I love it how they incorporated the honey, not aggressive but still there. Aroma of hops and honey. Citrus and pine. Malty backbone. Refreshing herbal notes. Long bitter finish. Overall, pretty good. Lovely balanced hop bitterness and honey sweetness. Tasty.

Tap at Fakin Bar in Zagreb-Croatia, with Marko. Semi clear golden-honey color, persistent white head. Nose: honey characterizes it so much, crazy honey feel, intensive, rustic. Wow. Sweet, soft carbo, malty and biscuity. Lovely. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

0.33 l can from Pivoteka, Zagreb. Drank from the can. Strong honey aroma, seems natural and fresh, hops also present in a nice balance. Although it is bitter, honey sweetness levels it all out. Alcohol is very well hidden. Medium body. This is very well made, but I can tell it's not everyone's favourite.

On tap at the brewery. Clear golden coloured, medium sized creamy white head, perfumed honey in the nose. Sweet honey and bitter hops are struggling here. Perfumed honey notes, slightly floral, also sweet/bitter finish. Unbalanced, not for my taste.
