Antigoon is a hoppy wheat IPA. The beer is slightly cloudy, pale blond and has an alcohol content of 6%. The typical fullness of wheat beers is combined with a mild bitterness. The aroma is spicy / hoppy due to the combination of the typical wheat aroma and the floral citrus character of the hops used.

33 cl bottle (7%) @ Gastropub Tuulensuu, BBE 27.08.2017. Aroma has strong soapy tones and some apricot. Flavour has soapy apricot, some fruit sugar, grapefruit and minerals. Finishes with some grassy and herbal hops. Gets some honey-like sweetness, malt and minerals at the middle of the glass. Easy-going and easy to forget.

Bottle @ Van Moll Brewpub. Slightly unclear yellow color, medium sized white head. Smell and taste malts, lightly yeasty, light to moderately bitter. Decent body and carbonation. Decent, but very ’one of so many’.

Some strong florals and booze with a light kiss of citrus. Pours cloudy brown with decent head and lacing. Lots of sediment. Finishes with light bitterness. Some oak in this, though light. Average carbonation. Bottle.

750 ml bottle into tulip glass, best before 9/19/2015. Pours slightly hazy golden amber color with a 2-3 finger dense and rocky white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Dense soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a large amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head; amazing appearance. Aromas of big pear, apricot, apple, peach, grape, candi sugar, honey, bread, clove, pepper, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast ester and malt notes; with good strength. Taste of big pear, apricot, apple, peach, grape, clove, pepper, honey, bread, candi sugar, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Lingering notes of pear, apricot, apple, peach, grape, honey, bread, candi sugar, clove, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Damn nice complexity of fruity/spicy yeast and malt flavors; with a great malt/yeast flavor balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. High carbonation and medium bodied; with a very smooth, crisp, and lightly prickly mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a slight warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a very excellent Belgian pale ale! All around great complexity and balance of fruity/spicy yeast ester and malt flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A very enjoyable offering.
