Antigoon is a hoppy wheat IPA. The beer is slightly cloudy, pale blond and has an alcohol content of 6%. The typical fullness of wheat beers is combined with a mild bitterness. The aroma is spicy / hoppy due to the combination of the typical wheat aroma and the floral citrus character of the hops used.

75 cl. bottle sampled @ GBF 2013. Finally got to try this one. Apparently this one is for export only, explains why I have never seen it before. Bright orange with a creamy white head. Nose is very BE, dominated by BE yeast, floral, slight citrus and fruity with some white pepper. Taste is heavy on sweet BE yeast, white pepper, light hops & bitter esters, citrus, spices and sweet white bread / Chinese pastry. Full BE yeast body. Quite a BE profile here, expected otherwise for an export only product. Quite solid. Thx! to the RB Crew for sharing.

Dull amber-copper and clear. The foam was very thick on this one. The aroma has plasticy phenols and a light dusting of spice. Dry and spicy character, with coriander and dried flowers, alongside some dusty yeast. Only a slight hint of alcohol late, with sweet malts.

Huge, fluffy, whipped-eggwhitelike, yellowish head, leaving lacerings over bright, if veiled orange beer. Herbal, garden herbs and malty nose, fresh-smelling. Light-bitterish citrus, very yeasty flavours, estery; finish is herbal-bitterish. Slight, near-hidden restsweetness with flavours of mandarine- or curaçaopeel. Medium bodied, quite slick, and head texture present throughout. Quite good beer... Txs to K.! 27 Unitedstaters and 1 Québecois, would appear I really got hold of a rare one! The Ursel Connection...

750 c&c from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours hazy dark gold with a foamy/creamy 4 finger off-white head. Aromas of citrus, yeast/spice, a soupçon of earth. Maybe pineapple? Med body. It is pleasant, earthy, yeasty, and citrusy bitter? Or herby bitter? Really quite nice.

Pours hazy golden color with white head. Fruity and grassy aroma with some dough. Similar flavor with some spiciness. Medium body with average carbonation. Better than I was expecting.

Whole Foods Market, DC 750ml ($11): Thanks to my dear brother for picking up this jawn for my birthday. Orange body with a fluffy head... looked good in my tulip. Aroma was yeast, ambiguous candy, fruity jawns, flowers, and a spice or too. Hops were subdued as usual. Beer was somewhat sweet. Had a European candy feel to it (I know that this is a bit ambiguous, but I just says it like it is). Taste has the wood, the hops, and the sugar all up in there. A good and flavorful Belgian ale, but not amongst my favorites of all time.

Slightly disturbing label. This beer is a hazy amber-orange color with a medium off-white head that recedes steadily. Stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of bananas, yeast and bread. Medium body with flavors of banana primarily, plus some other sweet fruit. Notes of yeast and bready malt as well. The finish is grain and yeast. Slightly above average overall.
