As welcoming as the rich, open Pannonian fields that surround our brewery in Croatia, hoppy, floral and caramelised tastes of this American Pale Ale are as satisfying as the finest zlevanka meal. Everyone has their own idea of what’s 'too much’ flavour, but if you’re ready for something with a little more ‘hop’ you can sip and savour, you might try one of these.

RB backlog. Caramel, quite artificial, metallic, intensely oxidized. Sticky sweetness, paired with metallic bitterness for a generally unpleasant experience.

9 August 2018. At Brewbites, Zagreb. Cheers to Anke!
Pours clear dark golden with a lasting, thin, off-white head; little lacing. Rather sweet aroma of caramel, honey, dough, syrup, cookie, grass, faint orange (peel). It tastes light to medium sugary sweet, bready, hints of caramel & honey, and light hoppy bitter, somewhat grassy but more on the grainy side. Dryish, grassy & grainy finish, a bit wry, lingering sugary accents. Medium body, slick/sticky texture, lively carbonation. Carlsberg's attempt at adding something to the Croatian craft beer scene...how endearing.

Has a soft berry-like ruby alcohol boiling up aroma with some fruity bread. Okay medium head and medium brown body. Flavour is fruity malts and a good hop character, some bready caramel on the back end. Crisp finish. Decent brew in fact, quite satisfying.

Bottle courtesy of MarkoNm. Pours bright amber brown with an average sized short lasting off-white head. Aroma of treacle, molasses, soy sauce, light nut and boiled cabbage. Medium sweetness, moderate bitterness. Medium body, sticky texture, average carbonation. Probably (not) the best beer in Croatia.

0.33 l bottle from Vrutak, Zagreb. Shared with Jolly Rogers. Clear amber, minimal head. Mostly malty, fake caramel candy and no hops. Mostly sweet, although light. Light body, moderate carbonation, abrupt finish. This has no hops, but even if it had them, it would still be a bad beer.

Pours almost clear, dark coppery, topped with medium sized and creamy beige head. Caramle nose with lots of soy sauce and soem cardboard, not nice. Taste is better, with some biscuity malty sweetness. No bitterness to be found. Medium bodied. Not an APA and not too nice.
