Resinous, soapy hops, big chewy caramel malts. Bready notes, biscuity, and sticky toffee. Pine resins throughout, big mouth feel, soft carb. Medium to high bitterness, slightly nutty malts, more caramels and toffee with more piney, slightly so pay hops. Reminds me alot of arrogant bastard.

Hazy chestnut, beige head. Light malt/citrus hop nose. Big ma;t palate with medium strength lasting bitterness and light alcohol heat. Nice !!

Muddy brown body but good foam, nice deep malt and licorice on the nose. Flavour is heavy chocolate syrup, chewy hops, caramel. Nice lingering bitterness, alcohol well hidden. A little heavy but still enjoyable.

Draught at the brewpub
Dark amber color, clean. The aroma has some caramel, it’s a bit boozy. Full bodied, with nice caramel flavor, moderately sweet, but the mouthfeel is a bit oily too; strong bitterness, with some hop resins, some raisins, and a hint of nuts.
Solid, doesn’t drink too well though, thick.

On tap at Steamworks, pours a hazy dark cooper amber wig a small white head. Aroma brings out a good mix of bready caramel malt and resinous hops, more towards the malt. Flavour is along the same lines, with lots of sweet caramel upfront, with resinous hops on the other side. Not great harmony going on here. A little abrasive, but it's drinkable for the ABV. Decent.

Bottle 22fl.oz. @ [ pre TEODRBSG15 ] @ fonefan & Brugmansia House, Denmark. [ As Steamworks Imperial Red ].Clear medium red amber color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel, fruity malt, moderate to heavy hoppy, fruity hops, dusty hops. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration, fruity, caramel, malty. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20150828]

Bottle at Danish Ratebeer Summer Gathering 2015, Ulfborg. Pours clear orange with a ring off white head. Aroma of light fruits, citrus, malt, caramel and toffee. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter. Light medium bodied with light carbonation.

Süßlich würziger, etwas getreidiger Antrunk. Spritzig, der Hopfen bläht sich etwas auf, bleibt aber insgesamt angenehm. Rund, gefällt! 10/9/10/9/12/11

Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Hazy amber with a white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel and moderate hoppy - fruity and old hops. Flavor is quite sweet and rather bitter. Dry and rather bitter finish. 280815
