In 1646, in less than 2 months, there were constructed two fortresses, St. John's and Barone for a successful defence from Ottomans during the War of Candia. Next year in August on Septermber Šibenik has suffered one of the greatest attacks, but still defended itself successfully.

17/2/2023. Bottle from Marek. Shared at SBGP1. Croatia rating #100. Pours clear bright gold with a frothy white head. Aroma is grainy, floral, malt and herb, with a metallic edge. Moderate sweetness, medium bitterness. Moderate body, slightly watery and oily, quite frothy. It’s okay.

Sample courtesy of Grumbo, cheers Graham! Golden colour, bubbly white foam head and aroma of grains, citrus, straw, hop. Taste is sweetish, malt, grain, fruity, citric, yeast, with alittle sourness, and hop bitterness. Light bodied, soft carbonation, citric bitter finish. Quite drinkable.

Bottle, 0.5l. Cloudy copper pour, huge frothy off-white head... again. CO2 party continues. Nose is somewhat sour, acidic. Some fruity and floral notes in the background. Light body, high carbonation. Fizzy, prickly mouthfeel, watery texture. Again, gets me bloated. Moderately sour taste with mild bitterness in the background. Aroma of yeast, citric acid, herbs, spice. Slight bready and malty notes. Short lasting finish, dry, tart, mild bitterness. I don't know. Bottling process obviously isn't their forte, hopefully one day I'll have the opportunity to try it on tap.

On tap at X Bar, Zagreb. Hazy yellowish golden, small head. Lightly to moderately hoppy. Citrus, tart fruit and pines in aroma. Simple but nice. Nice hoppy profile, pines again and some fruit, zesty, softly grainy. Nice balance. Moderate carbonation, very refreshing. Light bitter finish. Fresh, no major flaws, congrats.

Bottle. Almost clear golden amber, thinner offwhite ehad, nonlasting. Grassy nose with some sweet fruits, altogether very mild. Gently sweet, medium grassy bitterness. Sharp finish, slightly herbal. Light and a bit stale. Not too nice.

On tap at Fakin Zagreb. Dark golden/amberish coloured, small to medium sized white head, light herbal caramel nose. Sweet malty, caramel, some notes of honey and fruits with mild herbal touch in the finish. Nothing more nothing less that upper homebrew level.
