English ale + Brett + Barrel
This brew was made for the 20th anniversary of Sir William's pub in Ljubljana.

Take on an old-school English ale, of course infected with Brettanomyces yeast and aged in wooden barrels.

Trivia: Brettanomyces comes from the Greek word for "British fungus" - it was discovered by N. Hjelte Claussen in 1904 as the cause of spoilage in English ales.

EXP - small series of our experiments, usually very limited and available only for a short time.

Only available on tap.

On tap at Croatian Homebrew Competition 2018. Unclear golden coloured, medium sized off-white head, light acidity and wood in the nose. Fruity and light herbal with notes of barrel and weak sourness near rather dry finish. Drinkable.

Tap at HHP 2018. Dark amber body with a lasting off white head. Malty dry aroma, raisins, creamy, just vaguely tart and nice. The taste was just about identical, again, dryish, with maltiness bringing out notes of raisins, creamy, and some light tartness which keeps it fresh and drinkable. Nice!

On tap at Makro Beer Fest, Ljubljana. Shared with Višnja 666. Murky dark golden, moderately lasting off-white head. Moderately fruity, barrel, dried fruits, light acetic acid, light toasty malts. Light wine, light fruity flavours, fine oxidation, balanced sweet and malty. Light body, soft carbonation, light finish with moderate intensity. Slightly watery. Nicely done, nicely aged, fine soft acidity.

On tap at Sir William's Pub's 20th anniversary. Somewhat hazy chestnut coppery color, topped with a medium and nonlasting offwhit head. Gentle vinous nose with cellar and fruity (currant or gooseberries) feel. Malty back much more gentle. Gentle wild sourness with lots of leatherness. Held back herbal bitterness, shorter aftertaste and dry finish. Fresh nose with somewhat fuller and staler body - doesn't feel right together somehow.
