Craft Beer is Dead is our exploration with a more classic style of IPA. Initially, we set out to make an American IPA, but that was a few iterations ago. This current version is more of a West Coast/California/Blond IPA style, hopped with Centennial, Citra, and Citra Cryo.

On tap at the brewery. Pours clear gold with a white head. Sweet malts and some pine on the nose. Flavour has bitter pine, resins, and some sweet malts. It's mostly fine, but there's something weird and kind of floral floating around in there.

473ml can. Pours a slightly hazy gold with a medium, foamy, long lasting, white head that leaves soapy curtains of lace. Sweet fruity aroma of grainy wheat malt, grapefruit, cantaloupe, passion fruit and floral hops. Sweet fruity flavour of grainy wheat malt, orange peel, peach, mango and piney hops in a dry, bitter finish. Medium body with an oily texture and average carbonation. Tasty and enjoyable.

Hazy gold, white head. Fruity nose, spicy notes. Prickly and fruity with a big but brief hop finish

Poured from the tap. Clear gold with small white head. Pine hops with a mild sweet resin. Has an almost mastika like quality to it.

Middling gold body and minimal head. Smells strongly of pine needles overlaid some sweet hops. Flavour is chewy malt and heavy piney hops. Full and oily on the mouth. Bowling straight down the middle for a pale ale but it works.

Clean deep blond colour. The aroma is piney, with citrus peel, mild dank character. The mouthfeel is very clean, with crackery malts, a touch of toffee, followed by bold bitterness, resinous hops, long finish. I'd like brighter hops, but these are muscular. Very clean.
