IPA - Imperial / Double Regular
Score
5.99
ABV: 9.0% IBU: - Ticks: 16
Beer with a higher alcohol level and strong taste. Only Slovenian hops are used, which gives the beer its distinctive stamp, reminiscent of classic English IPA styles. The Slovenian hops Styrian Golding originated from Great Britain. The extremely composed alcohol level does not overwhelm the beer, but merges with it into a wonderful, strong ale. Gourmet beer for demanding pleasures!

Bottle from MarkoNm. Pours amber with a lasting off-white head. Aroma of malt, hop, bitter citrus fruit, and caramel. Light sweetness, heavy bitterness. Medium body, average carbonation. Finish is dry, bitter, citrus, and generally somewhat harsh and unbalanced.

13-11-16 // bottle from a trade with MarkoNM. Thanks! Lght hazy, copper golden beer. Head disappears quickly. Nose of citrus. Taste ist loads of citrus and pine aroma. Almost too much. Bitter hoppy finish. No carbonation. Thats why this beer isnt very pleasant. --- Beer merged from original tick of Maximus on 13 Nov 2016 at 21:40 - Score: 4

Pours thick and hazy copper body with small, long lasting white head that leaves lacing on the glass. Smell is interesting combination of apple, malts and liquor. Medium body, softly carbonated with thick and oily texture. Taste is initially sweet but soon switches to slightly sour and then bitter towards the finish. Aroma of malts, apple, syrup, wine, hops, caramel, licorice. Rich and interesting mixture. Mouthfeel is a bit boozy, but that’s to be expected of an 9% ABV beer. Medium long finish, slightly dry but with lasting alcohol burn on the tongue. Overall, very interesting beer to try. Not for everyone, tho. Personally, I like it.

Bottle, 0.33l. Pours hazy brown amber color with thin creamy off-white head and soft visible carbonation. Aroma of dark fruits, wine, grass, dough and more yeast. Initially seems to be spoilt, but apparently in the early stage, especially when temperature is too low for consumption. Taste starts with moderate sweet caramel, carrots and dried fruits, following is sourish fruity and grassy, mouthfeel is warm, while finish is moderate bitter. Medium body, syrupy texture and average carbonation in palate. Mehhh, Minimus...

Pours a hazy coppery color, topped wit ha medium off-white head, slowly disappearing. Intense full malty aroma, biscuity, bready and some soy presence. In the back some noble hops. And later on some whisky feel all over it. Taste is sweet and malty, finishing with modeate bitterness. Gentle warming alcohol accompanies it all along. Short(ish) aftertaste. Quite full body, slicky and smooth. Alcohol nicely hidden, but it lets you know it’s there. Not a fan of these extra strong beers, but this one went down very smoothly.
