Hints of golden yellow, the head is white and creamy. Floral and grassy bouquet. Fresh and elegant, in the mouth the grassy notes come to the fore. In this unfiltered Pilsner hops are the real soul of the beer, and the use of noble hops in particular plays a key role. The basic principle of the production philosophy is strict compliance with ancient Middle-European beermaking traditions, although clearly revisited in true Amarcord style.

Bottled 330ml. -Courtesy of Marko, thanks. Unclear golden coloured, small white head, dusty grainy nose. Light bready, grainy, some herbal hops and rather dry finish. Not bad for what it is.

12 ounce bottle into lager glass, bottled on 11/11/2017. Pours slightly hazy pale golden/yellow color with a 1 finger fairly dense and rocky white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Nice dense soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big lemon, cracker, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, herbal, pepper, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance of pale malt and earthy hop notes; with great strength. Taste of big lemon, cracker, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, herbal, pepper, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate herbal, floral, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of lemon, cracker, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, herbal, pepper, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Great robustness and balance of pale malt and earthy hop flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and zero astringent flavors after the finish. Perfectly clean on lager flavors, with zero yeast notes present. Light-moderate increasing dryness from bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately crisp, and bready/grainy/sticky balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4.9%. Overall this is a excellent German pilsener! All around great robustness and balance of pale malt and earthy hop flavors; very smooth, crisp, and refreshing to drink. Perfectly balanced clean pils malts and earthy hop flavors. A little more citrusy than I expected on the hops; but a very enjoyable offering, and spot on style example regardless.

Bottle. Hazy yellow-golden body, small white head. Full honeyish-malty and flowery-hoppy aroma, perhaps overly pronounced maltiness. Grainy-malty taste, quite German, white bread crust, soft, lean, but indeed sweetish body, some flowery notes, mild bitterness, but quite covered by the body. The mild herbal-citric noble hop touches do show up later and it balances out. Subtle, elegant, not THAT pilsnerish, but a well executed lager in any case.
