Can @ fonefan tasting. Clear golden with a white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, light corn and light grainy. Flavor is medium sweet. Sweet finish. 280815

Sampled @ Danish Summer Gathering 2015 Klare goldgelbe Farbe, fingerbreite weiße Schaumkrone. Geruch süß malzig, getreidig. Geschmack getreidig süß, wässrig, schlecht!

Can at Bollywood Indian restaurant, Budapest. Poured a crystal clear straw colour with a thin broken white head. The aroma is light malt hop. The flavour is light bitter with a light hop, light soapy palate. Light bodied with average carbonation.

Bottle at Behind The Hills 2014 Autumn Edition. Pale golden color with small white head. Ugly malty aroma with apples, metallic notes. Ugly sweet malty taste.

Golden colour, white medium head. Smell is malty and grassy hops. Taste is mostly malt, with a bit of metallic note in the end. Low bitterness. Medium carbonation. Average lager, but ok for its price.

white, small, porous, poor retention. Colour: straw, clear.
Aroma: probably none.
Taste, great CO2 acidity, some malt and slight bitterness.
It’s more a carbonated mineral water with a faint note of barley malt.

Das originale Steffl ist eigentlich ein altes Bier aus Wien, das aus der Schwechater Brauerei kommt, wo es 2017 für einen großen Diskonter auch wieder hergestellt wurde. In Ungarn wird es in Lizenz von der ebenfalls zum Heineken-Konzern gehörenden Soproni-Brauerei hergestellt. Es handelt sich um en typisches helles Lagerbier à la Schwechater, das zwar nichts besonderes ist, aber durch seine hohe Bekömmlichkeit gut und in Massen trinken lässt.

50cl can, Budapest. Poured golden, white head. Malty, grainy, sweetish aroma. Grainy, slightly hoppy, citrusy flavor. Cardboard in finish. Light bitterness. Drinkable.
