Bottle from Oddbins, I think. Appearance - opaque black with a lovely fawn head. Nose - big peanut butter with a chocolate and molasses edge. Taste - more molasses and creamy chocolate. The peanuts come through strong on the finish. Palate - medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish. Rich all the way through. Overall - like it.

Bottle from Drunk Dry, Kidlington, Oxon, consumed at Home Field CL, campsite, Lymington, Hampshire, Friday 10th March 2017 Pours murky dark brown. There is a little peanut but it’s not in Yellow Belly territory. Good porter, chocolate, soft cola, fruity a dab of cocoa powder, good. A6 A4 T7 P4 Ov13 3.4

Bottle at home, black beer, small to no head. Aroma is chocolate, coffee, malt, peanut. Taste is the same, salted peanut is noticable, not bad.

Small, dark-beige head, soon reduced to rim over fully opaque dark redbrown to black beer. Very burnt/roasted, yet a sweet-nutty aroma, that might well be peanut. Also something salty, seaweed-like. Sweetish-roasted, with a drier ending, that is almost earthy. Mineral, rather than salty; again nutty - the name suggesting peanuts. Very mild, faraway stout acidity. Bit thinnish MF, almost watery. Feels better carbonated than it looks. Bit thinnish porter, initial sweetness receding.

Nuttiness up front and a nice rich porter finish. The salt picks up nicely.
