On tap at the brewery pours out a golden topped with a white head. Nose is nice mineral carmel sweet malts floral hops. Taste is more of the sweet malts stone notes.

Much much better than the regular version. At the brewery, it is so much cleaner and clearer. Tastes as good as it looks. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at Hair of the Dog, pours a cloudy golden orange with a small white head. Aroma is dominated by the concrete egg elements, giving off a sort of woody, dry, biscuity characteristic. Flavour brings out the candied sugar upfront from regular Fred, transitioning to the woody, dry concrete character. I haven't enjoyed the past "From the Stone" beers, but I think they nailed this one - the concrete seems to dry out the sweetness from Fred and impart some depth that balances this well. Very good.

Draught @ Hair of the Dog, Portland, OR. Pours dark orange with a smooth head. Aroma of malts, ripe fruits, citrus, grass, earthiness and caramel. Taste is smooth, slightly sweetish and mineraly with some malts, fruits, ripe fruits and citrus. Finish is heavy, warming and malty with some mineraly notes, caramel, pine and toffee. Pretty smooth and balanced, despite being quite heavy.

On tap at HOTD. Pours a somewhat cloudy golden orange hue with a medium white head. A big soft malty fruity base. Sweet fruity elements, some apricot, citrus, a bit of earthy stone. Very nice. Super drinkable. Not massively different than regular Fred.
