Bottle shared at partizan. Many thanks to Andy. Aroma is big aniseed, rustic, sweet, nutty brown bread. Flavour is composed of roasted coffee, coffee cake, walnut, little aniseed, sticky, little caramel. Palate is semi sweet little sticky. Lingering coffee and liquorice. Decent.

Bottle split at P-Arch, big thanks to Andy, 20/06/15. Lightly hazed orange amber with a decent off white covering. Nose is light spice, bitter orange, Sambuca evident, grapefruit, light coffee notes. Taste comprises coffee grinds, toasted malt, Sambuca, faint liquorice, straw, bitter orange, citric pith, light bread, aniseed burn. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with earthy hop bitterness. Decent, does what it says on the tin.

Bottle share at Partizan. Cheers Bro Scopey. Thin white head, amber gold appearance. Coffee on the nose with an aniseed undertone. Tastes coffee and aniseed. Good balance for a 7.5% beer. It tastes much better than it sounds

Keg at Redrum. It pours clear deep red-amber with a thick yellow-white head. The nose is sweet, juicy oily, stewed orange, fruit cake, earthy roast, apple/pear, aniseed and icing sugar. The taste is bitter, resinous, boozy, stewed orange, kumquat, marmalade, alcohol heat, earthy roast, coffee, aniseed and light liquorice with a dry, citrusy finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Punchy hop juice. Unusual, but sort of works.
