In 2012 we became involved with the development of a new variety of British Hop from Faram Hop Developments called Jester. This new baby of theirs had no lesser challenge than to tear back some of the market from the American hop varieties that where beginning to dominate the Craft Beer market and creeping into every aspect of British brewing.

'The Empire Strikes Back' was the beer we brewed with that development crop of 'Jester' and it led directly to 2013's first full crop of the new hop.

Brit Hop uses the same base recipe that we use for our Nor'Hop and So'Hop beers with Citra and Galaxy respectively, but brings Jester to the ultra pale party.

Keg at Brewdog Sheps Bush. It pours lightly hazy gold with a small white head. The nose is soft, fresh, earth, toasty grass, mild sweetness, straw, piss and lemon parfait. The taste is crisp, bitter, earth, lemon rind, pithy, grassy, dank hop, firm bitterness, straw and some piss with a dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Crisp, smooth and crazy crushable. Drinks like a dream. Yeah boii.
