'The Empire Strikes Back' was the beer we brewed with that development crop of 'Jester' and it led directly to 2013's first full crop of the new hop.
Brit Hop uses the same base recipe that we use for our Nor'Hop and So'Hop beers with Citra and Galaxy respectively, but brings Jester to the ultra pale party.

Bottle from Salusbury Wines, Queens Park, Sunday 3rd May 2015 consumed the same day Murky orangey gold in colour with a sticky white foamy head. The coldness blunts the aroma a little, so I will concentrate on the taste initially as I wait for it too warm. Plenty of hops lead to a few hoppy burps, the hops are a little soapy at first and have a slight harsh edge, earthy and also a little grassy, in fact lemongrass, its soft in mouth, carries very little sweetness (which I think would help), so overall a good beer, and great that some new UK hops are able to provide something with the flavour intensity of an American Golden or APA. As it warms the nose is showing a little more with some warm wet grass. Good but just wanted a little bit more sweertness and perhaps a slight bigger maltier body. A6 A4 T7 P4 Ov14 3.5

On cask at the Hanging Bat. Appearance - golden with a proportionate head. Nose - big orange and floral notes. Taste - less exciting than the nose. Dry grass with light lemon. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - decent. It peaked on the aroma.

On tap at the Barley Mow, Bristol 30/3/2015. Golden in colour, with a tight, white, head. Sharp, citrus fruit aroma, with plenty of grassy hops and some crisp maltiness. Flavour had plenty more fruits, lime marmalade sweetness, a touch of biscuity malts and dryish finish. Very good.

Keg at BrewDog Shepherd’s Bush - London. Pours clear yellow-gold with a creamy, tight white head. Some light citrus notes in the nose, lemon rind, biscuits, peach. Light to medium sweet flavor with pleasant biscuity pale malts, more peach, nectarine, rindy lemon, some peel, pine, straw. Light bodied with average carbonation. Good bitterness to finish, some pale grains, crunchy hay, lemon rind, pee, peach. Great balance.
