Cask at random pub in Dorset. It pours deep copper with a small white head. The nose is earthy, nutty, light caramel and wood. The taste is bitter, earthy, wood, tame bitterness, chewy malt and astringent bite with a dry finish. Light-medium body, soft carbonation and chewy mouth-feel. A bit chewy, but not too bad.

Malty, fruity nose with notes of nuts, caramel, dried fruit and a moderate, dusty bitterness in the finish. Light body, with a touch of sweetness. Tasty but a bit thin. Quite nice.

Cask at the Half Moon, Windlesham - 12/09/12. Dark golden copper with a thin off-white head that soon thins to the edge. Aroma of grain, malt, a little fruit, a fairly muted nose. Tastes of caramel, malt with background fruit. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation. Standard bitter - drinkable, nothing to shout home about!
