Gravity dispense at the Mulberry Tree, Twickenham, 06/11/15. Black with a rich beige covering that dissipates to Edgework. Nose is big on coffee grinds, spice, vanilla, rich dark fruits. Taste is coffee forward, light cocoa, earthy dark fruit rinds, trace of liquorice. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close. Decent stout, good coffee load.

Cask. Handpump. 41st Steel City Beer Festival. Clear, chestnut brown. Bubbly, tan head. Nose has coffee grinds. Vanilla. Cocoa. Woody, vine fruits. Taste is vinous, fruity bitter. Some sweetness on the lips. Medium body. Finishes vinous and fruity bitter. Expected more depth and sweetness, but nevertheless this is a tasty, drinkable beer.
