Cask-conditioned at the Seven Stars, Bristol 24/2/2016. Dark brown with a tight, beige, head. Coffee notes and a touch of plain chocolate, with some leafy hops and dryish finish. Good.

Bottle from Carrington’s, Chorlton [241114]
Dark caramel brown, beige bubbly head that disispates
Aroma of roasted malts, soft burnt toast notes, dab of dark fruits
Taste of roasted malts, soft toasty malts, touch of dark fruits, soft yeasty, dab of dark toffee, fairly simple
Palate - Soft carb, medium light body, maybe a bot thin. Finish as main flavour, quite roasted, soft fairly sweet dark malts in background
Overall - Quite a nice porter, little thin and simple. Another one of these beers probably better on cask.

Gravity at the 13th Egham BF @ EUSC - 15/11/12. Obscured dark chestnut brown with a thin bubbly off white head that retains well. Nose is light floral tones, peach, touch of soap, fruity and hoppy. Taste follows, light chcolate and dark malt. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Smooth drinking, very hoppy for a porter.
