Tap(@Partizan, Bermondsey) As black as ink, small foam with a reddish sheen; dry roasty nose with some fruity to red-vinous spots; almost solid dry bitter and "red-vinous" flavour, some residual sweetness stil , but hardly, detectable, medium bied, a bit adstringent; cherries and almonds detectable in the lingering dry fruity and toasty finish. Unusual, but pretty good…

Fra kran på Haand Ølfestival 30 Mai 15. Delt med Rune. Svart. Lavt mokkafarget skum. Beskjeden sjokoladearoma. Smaken udefinerbar - men syrlig. Kaotisk øl.

Keg at the Hanging Bat. Pours flat dark brown with the merest ring of tan head. Aromas of vanilla coke, faint cherry. Taste is sweet, some tar, more vanilla. Treacle, vanilla toffee finish.

On tap at Haand Festival. It’s almost black in the glass, topped by a dense, light tan head of fingerthick size. A bit too much on the vanilla side in both the aroma and flavor I think. Some cherries and a little fruity sourishness in the aroma, with mocha and dark chocolate. There’s a decent bitterness in the mouth, it’s full-bodied and quite dry, with mocha, dark chocolate and cherries. Lasting finish with lots of mocha and chocolate, a decent amount of cherries and a tad much vanilla. Overall, too much on the vanilla side, but it’s a decent beer anyway. 150530

Draught @ Haand Ølfestival 2015, Drammen
Pours black with a tan head. Aroma has notes of roasted malt, chocolate, vanilla, cocoa and hint of berries. Taste is medium sweet and medium bitter with a long vanilla, berry, chocolate and cocoa finish. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. Very close too to much vanilla for my liking.

30.05.2015, tap @ HaandFestival:
Nice creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly rich and sweet, dark sugar, dark malts, vanilla, raisins, caramel, cinnamon, chocolate. Taste is slightly sour-ish dry, roasted grain, minerals, sour berries, grass, ashtray, weeds, vanilla, fruit stones, burnt caramel. Medium bitterness, slightly dry and watery mouthfeel. Nice enough.

From tap at Haandbryggeriet Beer Festival 2015. Shared with Finn. Filmy layer leaving spotty lacing behind. Jet black body. Sweet aromas of cherry and vanilla chocolate. Similar taste of chocolate, dark vanilla and cherry offset by oily hops. Drying ending with a touch of citrus shells. Tasty and well balanced, however, the drink feels a bit thin on the swallow (Drammen 30.05.2015).
