On tap at Drygate Glasgow. Black coloured, small beige head, chocolate and alcohol in the nose. Roasted malt, chocolate, alcohol and whiff of wood with dryish chocolate finish. Decent stout but a bit too expensive (1/3 for a 3£).

Swing-Top bottle from Valhalla’s Goat. It pours jet black with a thick tan head. The nose is bitter-sweet, roasty, banana bread, booze, coffee and charred wood. The taste is smooth, rich-roast, coffee, cocoa, earth, treacle, umami notes, tar and ash with a dry finish. Medium-Fullish body and moderate carbonation. Quite drying. Not sure I could drink too much of it, but still not bad.
