Bottle at home in London - picked up at Kris Wines. Pours mostly clear gold with a creamy white head. Grainy malts in the nose, hints of pine needles, lemon rind. Light sweet flavor with assertive bitterness, a little bit of plastic/phenol, harsh grass, grain husk. Light bodied with average carbonation. Bitter finish with further grassy bitterness, some woody notes, leaves, pale grains. Once the palate adjusts to the bitterness - and I don’t think a palate should need to adjust - the beer is drinkable. But overall, the beer is a bit rough at the edges.

Cask at the Kew gardens hotel. Hazed orange golden coloured pour with a lasting off white froth. Aroma is grainy, spicy lemon citrus, grain husks. Flavour is composed of slightly rough grains, butter lemon. Rough back of the throat bitterness lingers. Palate is good cask condition ,grainy and slightly creamy. OK.
