On tap at Broadway Dive. This is very old and I am not sure why they decided to age this. Pours black with a foamy dark brown head. Chocolate, liquorice, roast, touch of soy sauce, figs, prunes, cranberry. Medium body. Interesting. Not unpleasant.

Bottle share. Inky black, ring of beige head. Chocolaty aroma, sweet roasty grain goodness rolls underneath. Silky texture. Taste is mellow chocolate, roast grains, gentle sweetness. Nice!

Draft at Haymaker, 1/21/16. Dark brown with a creamy head. Smells like maraschino cherries and roasted coffee. Tastes pretty much the same. The most maraschino cherry beer I can ever remember trying, that's for sure. Somehow it works. Very creamy and smooth.

Covenhoven, Brooklyn tap: pours black with a tan head. Aroma is booze and roasted malts and more liquor... Wow really boozy. Tate is less boozy. Fortunately. Not too thick. Somewhat bitter. Dark chocolate levels of sweetness. Not a great stout. Should stick to the IPAs.
