Lil Opal is a Farmhouse style saison that launched our Barrelworks program. Aged in our terracotta amphora, this beer refreshes the palate with a soft light acidity with earthy funk undertones.

Tap at CBC2015. Slightly hazy orange color, small white head. Aroma is white wineish, some tartness and farmhouse. Light-bodied. Tartness, bretta, fruity wineous flavor. Balanced. Delicious.

[2/17/15] Draught at Firestone Walker in Paso Robles. Clear yellow. Lovely aroma, funky, citric, earthy, with barnyard and an oaky note. Dry flavor, slightly sourish, with mild barnyard and big fruitiness. Quite light-bodied. Very nice.

On tap at Elizabeth Station, pours a cloudy golden yellow with a small white head. Nose brings out lots of brett, along with oak and Belgian yeast. Flavour is very funky, with spicy dry yeast, oak barrels, and finishing dry and biscuity. Dry, medium funky, and lightly spicy on the finish. Good stuff, though not as complex as classic Firestone Walker beers.

Almost clear golden colour, white head. Sour aroma, citric, light wood. Sour flavour, light malts, hint bourbon. Sour finish, hint bourbon.

Smakprov på CBC i Köpenhamn 2014. Smak och doft av äpple, brett, vinäger, vete, vita vinbär. Frisk, snäll syra, sträv, mycket torr. fin beska. Bra balans.

On Tap at Bier:Thirty Boise. A sharp slightly sour Saison. Nicely done. Very clean and fairly dry. Nice fresh grassy farmhouse flavors and a bit tart.

On tap at bier thirty. Pours out a little hazy golden topped with a white head. Nose is tart white wine grass and wet wheat. Taste is as the nose with a nice tart kick some lemongrass and a spice.

Keg at the Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2014, green session. 03/05/2014. Bright orange coloured pour with a sticky white fluffy white head. Aroma is funky, spicy hop, straw and some feet. Palate is crisp mineral, lightly tart in the finish. Flavour is straw, honey, white wine, wood.
