Lil Opal is a Farmhouse style saison that launched our Barrelworks program. Aged in our terracotta amphora, this beer refreshes the palate with a soft light acidity with earthy funk undertones.

Keg at the 4th Copenhagen Beer Celebration, Session I, 01/05/2015. Lightly hazed golden orange with a decent off white covering. Nose is tarte lemon, funky notes, wood must, straw, vanilla, brett pangs. Taste comprises bitter orange, grape must, funky streak, tarte fruit rinds, damp wood, hay, brett strokes. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with puckerings at the curtain call. Solid funked up saison.

Tap@CBC2015, Yellow Session - golden pour with white head. Floral and grassy aroma and taste, lemon, some orchard fruits, spicy yeasts, bretty, tartness on the palate, delicate and delightful.

Draught@CBC2015. Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is fruity, floral, some yeasty and mild funky notes. Flavour is tart wood, some citrus, yeast, earth and mild sweetness to it as well.

Tap at CBC 2015. Poured a hazy straw colour with a clear broken head. The aroma is light vinous acid citrus. The flavour is light sour with a biscuit dough buttery caramel acidic citrus palate. Light bodied with average carbonation.

Pours yellowish orange with a smooth head. Aroma of juicy fruits, tartish notes, funky yeast, zesty lemon and spices. Taste is smooth, tartish and juicy with some oak, spices and zesty lemon. Finish is smooth, oaky and sweetish with hints of vanilla and lemon. Okay.
