Bottle. Lots of floaties in this one, in an else almost clear, glowing dark amber body. The head is finger-thick and beige. Lightly fruity aroma, weak, and with some caramel. Semi-sweet flavor with pale malts, some tea and dried fruits and a generic fruityness. Coffee hints. Medium body, semi-dry and with a soft carbonation. Long finish with some caramel and dried fruits. Not very bock-ish, at least not in the German way, but quite decent anyway. 141024

Draft at Arendsnest. Pours very hazy golden brown with a white head. Aroma of biscuit, grain, wort. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter. Light medium bodied with light to moderate carbonation. A weird bock..

Bottled from speciaalbierpakket.nl, BB 10/07/15, large sample, poured in a trappist glass. Clear amber color with some debris floating around, medium rocky off-white head, leaving some frothy lacing. Aroma of high alcohol, spicy yeast, some caramel, slight cookie, appelmoes (mashed apples). Bit bitter in taste, some sweetness. Feels a bit stale. Yeast has done way too much and now its nowhere near a bock anymore, but just a belgian double. Feels unbalanced: quite some phenolic yeast in the aroma, but then hoppy bitterness in flavor with a sharp slight alcoholic note in the finish. Dry, thin body, medium carbonation. No good.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein dunkelbraunes Bier mit geringer Schaumkrone. Geruch nach Malz, Karamell, rote Früchte. Geschmack süß röstmalzig, rote Früchte, leicht würzig.

The aroma is quite fruity. Flavour has caramel, sweet dried fruits and a bit of peppery spice too.

330ml bottle. Clear, pale, reddish-golden amber colour with huge, frothy, fairly lasting, moderately lacing, off-white head. Malty aroma with a caramel touch, grassy hoppy overtones, cautious fruity hints of rhubarb. Taste is minimally sweet, slightly fruity, rhubarb, fruit parings, a minimally yeasty touch; light body, short finish. Dunkler Bock???
