A full-blown “West Coast” IPA chocked full of sticky hop resins. Melrose is brewed with American 2-row malt and a touch of Canadian “honey” malt to accentuate the tropical and citrusy flavors of the Simcoe and Amarillo hops. This beer is generously dry hopped for an over-the-top aromatic experience.

Bottle big thanks to Leighton at level 42. It pours clear amber with a medium white head. The aroma is fresh, juicy, passion fruit, mango, toffee, marmalade and piney resin. The taste is smooth, mellow bitterness, juicy, sticky, passion fruit, mango, grapefruit, pine, resin, touch of marmalade and grass with a dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Well rounded and quaffable.

Bottle shared on level 42 - picked up in a trade in LA. Pours clear gold with a frothy, off-white head. Fresh and juicy on the nose, with hints of pine, grapefruit, tangerine, melon. Medium sweet flavor with nice melon and white grape, moderate piney bitterness, some grass. Medium bodied with delicate carbonation. Finishes with more grassy bitterness, light resin, orange rind, grapefruit. Nice one.

Bottle. Pours hazy golden, medium off-white head, dissipates with great residual and lacing. Aroma is light, perfumy, citrus, grapefruit, passionfruit, mango, pine resin. Flavor is light sweet, light plus bitter, a hint of harshness. Lightish body. This is the kind of IPA that would have blown me away 5 years ago. Now, its just nice.

Bottle thanks to Jen! Pours a cloudy yellow with medium frothy white head leaving sticky lacing. The aroma is strong floral hop, grapefruit, mango. Medium mouth, juicy tropical fruit, light bitterness, really glad to get to try this so fresh!

Bomber from Bevmo Bakersfield dated 06 01 15 Nose is pine with a little citrus and a hint of mangoes. Clear light orange with a medium off white head. Flavor is bitter with tropical fruity notes. Pretty good tasting IPA.
