A full-blown “West Coast” IPA chocked full of sticky hop resins. Melrose is brewed with American 2-row malt and a touch of Canadian “honey” malt to accentuate the tropical and citrusy flavors of the Simcoe and Amarillo hops. This beer is generously dry hopped for an over-the-top aromatic experience.

On tap at the Brewpub (first keg of the first batch). Pours with a slightly hop hazed golden-amber hue with a frothy white head that leaves a ring of lace for each sip. Huge hop aroma featuring citrus, pine, tropical fruits. A bit tangy and resiny. Mostly clean, with a few stray esters. Bready, toasty and lightly caramel like supporting malt profile. Big hop flavor, sweet and juicy fruit flavors up front that turn to very bitter, grapefruit and resin note in the finish. Bitter balanced to the point of perfection. Malt profile is slightly dry with a bit of a cracker like character in the finish. Lingering bitterness, dry, well attenuated, medium carbonation and crisp. One of the best IPAs on the market. Another impressive offering from this new brewery. World Class!
