Very pale and very cloudy. Thin head. Aroma has a lot of overripe papaya fruitiness from the azacca. Juicy hop character with abundant yeastiness, and some kind of muddled pale malts.

Barren Hill, Lafayette Hill tap: pours cloudy gold with a white and creamy head. Aroma is like a brewery, fruit, funk, and citrus and some spice. Taste is spicy and hoppy. Body is very light. Very mellow but still assertive. Much tasty.

On tap at Oxbow, Portland. It’s an unclear, yellow colored beer topped by a white head leaving lacings. Lemon peel, grapefruit and some pale malts in the aroma. There’s a nice bitterness in the mouth, almost grapefruity, with lemon zest and some pale malts as a backdrop. Peppery hints too. It’s medium to full bodied, dry and pleasantly carbonated, with a lasting finish reminiscent of pink grapefruity. Lovely indeed this one. 150609

Sampled at Meridian Pint, pours a hazy yellow with some creamy, white head. Nose is a nice blend of tropical fruit notes and mild spice, lots of yeasty notes, mild straw, a little cheesy. Flavor has a lot more saison, quite yeasty, loads of spice, almost like chai, the hop provides a necessary lemon/papaya character. Full bodied, lightly tart finish.
