A Pumpkin coloured ale, smooth and fruity with a lingering citrus aftertaste, brewed especially for the Halloween period.

old rating from many years ago, cask at Market Porter in London - Pours amber with a thin head. It has a light aroma of English hops. The flavor is bitter with a touch of pumpkin and a slight hint of sourness. There’s a nice smooth mouth feel, light carbonation, and a light to medium body. This one is very easy to quaff. It’s fairly good and was very appropriate as I’d decided to walk through the Market while visiting London and stumbled across the October Plenty harvest festival there. Good times.

Cask handpull at Samuel Peto, JDW, Folkestone. Clearly they have revived this beer for this year’s Halloween. Clear old gold colour with lasting cream head. It’s a dusty slightly mouldy tasting pint. I only had it because the rest of the pump clips were empty waiting for the cellarman to put more festival beers on . It’s in good nick, a little watery in mouth with some hop sting on the finish. But mostly it lives up to my opinion of Nelson beers, in that they aren’t very good.
