500mL bottle from Molloy’s. Pours a deep brown to black, thick oily pour, medium tan head that would suggest more carbonation than I’d like from a porter. Aroma is of roast beans, some milk chocolate, nutty taurine. Flavour is less carbonated than expected which is nice, typical porter flavours, roasted bean, chocolate, some fruity hops, lovely. Velvety mouthfeel, nice roasted finish.

Bottle from Drinkstore, Dublin [221214]
Pitch black, fairly dense tan head, some lacing
Aroma of roasted malts, quite burnt roast, some dry charcoal, some burnt coffee grounds
Taste - Less roast than the aroma, fairly roasty, dark malts, some bitter dark chocolate, soft yeast, some dark fruity coffee
Palate - Soft carb, medium body, smooth, good mouth feel. Finish as main flavour, slightly dry, quite rich roast
Overall - Best of the WW beers I’ve tried so far
