In keeping with our authentic provenance, the Hercules Brewing Company has also created an original Belfast Pale Ale. This recipe is reflective of the beer style that would have been available in Belfast back in the mid 1800’s.

Soft delicate floral bouquet with rich caramels. Well balanced fruity front palate with a dry full bodied citrus finish and triple hopped.

Hazed golden color with a fine white head. Quite malt dominated beer. One dimensional. Medium body, and an average to soft carbonation. Tad sweet and a moderate bitterness.

On tap at John Hewitt, pours a hazy copper golden with a small white head. Nose is light, with metallic notes and English hops. Flavour is fairly bitter but restrained, with metallic notes, bready notes and an astringent hoppiness. Fairly well-balanced but not terribly exciting. Okay.
