Cask-conditioned at the Commercial Rooms (JDW), Bristol March 2017. Deep copper in colour, with a small, off-white, head. ripe and earthy digestive malts, hedgerow fruits, and a touch of leafy hop, before a moderately bitter finish. Good.

Cask at Queens Head, Wokingham, on April 4, 2017. As a 1/3 pint, part of a paddle.Label stated 4.1% ABV.Fruity, berries, malty, sweet taste. Fruity toasted aftertaste. Smooth, soft, low CO2 mouthfeel, medium bitterness. Clear, copper brown color, off-white head. Malty, fruity scent.

Cask at Swan, Farnborough. 06/04/17. A soapy floral aroma. Chestnut. Good creamy off-white head. Light bitter. Hoppy. Floral. Gets more bitter in to the finish but never overly so. Watery and soft. OK. My colleagues loved it. It was somewhat inoffensive, I guess.

Cask at the moon under water Watford Jdw . A clear reddy copper coloured pour with a lasting off white head. Aroma is autumnal, twig, brown leaves, woody, brown bread. Flavour is composed of medium sweet nutty, brown sugars, bread burnt honey, little grassy. Palate is semi sweet, medium bodied, sticky, moderate carbonation. Ok. Boring.,

Cask handpull at Liberty Bounds JDW London. Clear mid brown colour lasting beige head. It’s an ok briwn bitter that is properly butter for once. Good condition Yes some good red fruits. Quite sour bitter fruit. Dryness on the finish. Likeable bitter.

Cask at the standing order. Pours golden amber, nose is digestive biscuit, floral, spicy, taste is similar, light citrus.

Cask at the Standing Order. Pours clear amber with the merest white head. Aromas of caramel, dried mixed herbs and light pink peppercorns. Taste is more pepper, light sweet malt. Thin finish.

Cask at London & County, Eastbourne (JDW). A decent ale with spicy notes indeed that jump around on the palate.
