Big Eagle IPA is big in body & bold in flavour. Generous amounts of four American hop varieties are set against a sweet, four-malt backbone.
Whilst some beers mature like fine wines, Big Eagle IPA deserves to be savoured young at the peak of it's hop fresh character. Open, inhale, drink.
This version was retired in 2017, but returned in 2020 with higher ABV, before returning to 6.4% circa 2021

Dark amber colour with medium white head.Aroma of tangerine and Greapfruits nice light bitterness good juice and fresh light herbs and pine with mild finish.

Sample, thanks oh6gdx! Hazy coppery amber, lively head. Minerally grapefruit aroma. Mid sweet with solid body and clean mouthfeel. Minerally and toasty. Resinous grapefruit. Inky extremely bitter finish.

440ml can into my huge JUDAS glass at home on 21st December 2025. Slight haze in the amber body, decent white crown on top initially, faded to a wisp and collar after a few sips. Hops rule the roost, with a piney, then citrus feel. Malt action calms it down a little but the hops dominate to give a pleasant bitterness to the proceedings.

Pours amber with a slight haze. Dense head. Aroma is pine needles, kiwi and sweaty socks. Flavour is pine needles, cookie dough and taste bud raising hops. Something sourish lurks in the background.

440ml Can - Amber with a haze and a fairly foamy head. Grapefruit, pine, caramel and orange in the aroma. Grapefruit, orange, pine, caramel and some slightly notes in the taste. Nice but would be even better with more bitterness and bite.
