11.2 oz bottle-trade with jtclockwork-pours dark amber with a foamy light tan head. Aroma is musty medium malt-roasty, earthy. Taste is an initial impression of lots of carbonation, then musty medium maltroasty/slight licorice, 2nd spice/herbal hops. Letting it sit for 10 minutes softens the carbonation.

Deep mahoney, clear body. Lightly brown, creamy/rocky head. Aroma or roasted malts and bit hops. Moderately (but sharply) bitter, lightly sweet flavour: quite bitter for a dark beer. Surprising, but not convincing.

Aroma is rather disgusting with sauerkraut and gabbage. Some sweetness does occur too. Flavour is sweet with some sugar and solvent and some gabbage too. Horrible.

(bottle, 33cl) Hazy, dark amber colour with a medium-sized tanned foamy head. Moderately sweet dark malty aroma with slightly sour fruity notes of dark and red berries. Mildly sweet flavour, medium to light bodied with a rather flat carbonation. Fruit-accented, almost a bit vinous taste with a dark malty touch; medicinal notes during the finish. 09.IV.11
