Let’s face it – we love big, flavorful stouts. As luck would have it, our friend Jeppe at Evil Twin Brewing feels the same way. We decided to brew a beer together that took elements from our favorite stouts we each produce to come together as one beer. Bible Belt takes elements we love from Prairie Bomb! and combines them with Evil Twin Brewing’s world famous stout, Even More Jesus. The end result is a smoky, spicy stout that is sure to please the pallet.

Absolutely delicious brew, only hampered by its appearance and slack texture. Otherwise...Delectable nose, big gooey chocolate notes backed up by a slight boozy undertone. Tastes indulgent as hell, giant globs of chocolate on the front end followed by a semisweet middle coupled with a mild coffee acidity. Finishes with a flourish of vanilla that grows more prominent once your palate adjusts to the pronounced bitterness and chili heat. Booze gets covered by the spice, leaving a fade to die for. Really, this beer deserves better than a 4, but it’s ugly as hell and undercarbonated, so what can you do?

Like a mellow prairie bomb, it's got the same chile back as bomb but smoother upfront. Lots of coffee, vanilla.

Bottle from a trade with sneakychi, many thanks! My 200th Imperial Stout. Black color with nice beige head that goes down quickly. Aroma is viscous molten black chocolate, coffee, vanilla, lightly smoked and ash. Taste is coffee, black chocolate, vanilla, lightly smoked malts and ash, and a nice chili kick that’s not too hot. Low carbonation. Amazing beer, and it feels surprisingly light for the richness - the alcohol may even be a little bit too well-hidden.

Flaska från SB. Smak och doft av kaffe, vanilj, kakao, chili, rostade toner, röd paprika, mjölkchoklad och syrligt och fruktigt kaffe. Spännande och annorlunda, lagom sötma, fin balans, god beska.

0.355 l bottle from ’The Beer Tree’, bottled in March 2015 I think. Pitch black with a thin, frothy, almost stable, light brown head. Sweetish-malty, a little roasty and a bit boozy aroma of dark chocolate, pralines, mocca, hazelnut and vanilla. Sweet, slightly roasty taste of dark chocolate, mocca, pralines, some vanilla and hints of hazelnut, followed by a rather long, quite roasty-bitter, slightly warming-alcoholic and a little peppery finish. Medium to full body, slightly oily mouthfeel, very soft carbonation. Good stuff, a bit too sweet, but with a nice, intense finish.

Dessutom fruktig espresso. Riktigt gott.

Bottle at THT. Almost black with barely any head. Fresh brewed coffee, roasted coconut, marzipan, very strong nuts (hazelnuts, pecans), sweet chocolate, roasted grains. Over medium sweet and light bitter. Almost full bodied with slick feel and barely any carbonation with a slight spicy finish. Very good.
