Brekeriet White Label

Brekeriet Cassis is a sour ale mainly fermented with Brettanomyces yeast. Black currant is added during the secondary fermentation and this yeast loves berries which is shown in the fantastic taste of the beer. Brekeriet Cassis is refermented in the bottle which gives a thin layer of yeast at the bottom of the bottle.

Draft: Poured a ruby red with a pinky red head. Aroma is tart berry fruit. Taste is tart fruit currants and cherries ? Very tangy thru finish.

Pours deep red with a pink head. Aromas of blueberries, blackcurrant and some cherries. Slightly yeasty but mostly just sweet berries. Taste is tart blackcurrant up front, some cherry-like notes to it aswell, dry fruity sweet and tart finish. Simple but delischious.

Keg at Moor Vaults 07/09/19. Vinous vinegary tart berry aroma. Berry red. Tart berries. Light. Thin. Flat. Long finish. Nice refreshing.

Tap @ Borefts 2014. Purple color. Dominating cassis aroma. Sour cassis flavor. Some bretty notes. tannines. Some rest sweetness, only deriving from the fruit. Very nice beer.

On tap at Luppolo Station in Rome-Italy. Pours a very nice cherry skin color with a medium frothy purple foam. Nose: intensive raspberries and wild red fruits aroma, soft and almost hidden citric, candy a bit. Mouth is easy-drinking, a bit sweet with a candy-led overall and hints of tartness.

Bottle at the Kiselo Druženje (Sour Gettogether), 2017. Thanks! Pinkish red with a pinkish head. Wild, fruity and cheesy. Very sour and fruity. Medium body, very sour. Beautiful.

Bottle, dach gathering. Pours red. Aroma is sour, fruits, berries. Flavor is sour, berries, dryness, blackberries. Finish is sour. Overall: good.
